Siva-dol is an Ahom architecture or Shikara architecture temple, built by queen Bar Raja Ambika, who was a great patronage of art and education, under whom several manuscripts of art and spirituality were published.
Siva - dol is surrounded by two mighty temples - Vishnu-dol and Devi-dol in its premises; and is designed with intricate carvings of Durga decimating Mahisasura. The exterior walls of Sivadol is a representation of the Shaktism cult which the royalty of Ahom dynasty had adopted as their religious practice throughout their kingdom at that time.

DESCRIPTION:

Mekhela Chador is a traditional attire worn by women in Assam. The bottom portion draped from the waist downwards, is called the mekhela. The top portion is the chador which is a long piece of cloth which has one end tucked into the upper portion of the mekhela above the belly button and the rest is draped around the chest similarly like a saree. One of the most hassle-free garment, mekhela chador looks as elegant and stylish as a saree once it is draped.
