STORY:
Widowed young, she sold wine at the local shop. Making ends meet meant survival to her and her daughter. After all, her sister had also earned some money at the nearby village, by selling wine. She would start her business by selling pitha or rice cakes in the morning and alcohol in the evening. During the rains, when it gets inundated with the Pagoldia, she would use the money to buy thread and weave, she wanted to open her own tailoring shop. Overwhelming to her was her quest of her daughter’s acceptance of her living.

DESCRIPTION:
Handloom cotton fabric is woven using hand operated looms. The warp (length) and weft (width) are two sets of interlacing yarns woven by weavers on a mechanised loom that do not use electricity.
