Summers for Indian kids meant delicious treats. Every family in the mohalla would welcome their long lost friends - Alphonso, Langra, litchis and jackfruits. Parents would buy and share them, their recipes, chutneys, achaars. And the delicious friends were plated to welcome the kids returning from school with all pomp and enthusiasm.
